Complete bikes are built by a brand for the average. Spec boxes checked by a committee, sized to a chart, shipped in a box. They're pretty good, but we can do better!
Custom starts by us getting to know you - your riding, your goals, your taste. We work with 12+ premium frame brands and specify every part to the bike for the rider. The right handlebar width. The frame color you want. The component package that matches your goals, not a marketing tier. And a bike fit that is part of the build, not an afterthought. Perfect from the first ride.
01 / Process
We take the time that custom deserves. From first consultation to final fit, you're working directly with the same team the entire way. Most of our builds are done in person, but we can work with you remotely as well.
1. Consult
In person, video, or email. We talk about goals, riding, budget, and what you love or want to change from the bikes you have ridden. 30 to 60 minutes.
2. Spec
We come back with a recommended frame, geometry, and full component spec. You approve or we iterate. Clear pricing at each tier.
3. Deposit
50% deposit gets the process started. Lead times vary by brand, some bikes can be ready in just a few days - some fully custom frames may take 8-12 weeks.
4. Build
We assemble and tune your new bike in the shop. Photography along the way if you want it. Everything dialed to your liking - from shifter position to bar tape, no detail too small.
5. Fit
Full pro bike fit is always included. Your bike fits perfectly from the first ride so you can focus on the fun part - riding.
6. Handover
Final payment, walk-through, tools and spare parts handed over, we're here for any support or adjustments you may need.
02 / Timeline, Budget, Deposit
We aim to be transparent and work with your timeframe. Custom builds are usually a bit more costly than off the shelf, but we can always find the balance of performance and value. Custom builds can take time, so it's best to tackle those details straight away.
Timeline
If you've got a race or event coming up, let us know that out of the gate - it can help hone in on the best options. If you're wanting a fully custom frame and you're happy to wait we work with some incredible Titanium and Steel frame builders as well.
Budget
Custom builds typically start around $8,000 and can go up depending on how wild you want to go. We also offer a large selection of road and gravel bikes at lower price points that we can customize - everything we sell includes a fitting.
Deposit
50% on approval of the spec. Balance at handover. Deposits are non-refundable on custom ordered frames and build packages.
