About OPEN Cycle

The simplicity of nice bikes, nice rides.

OPEN was founded by Andy Kessler and Gerard Vroomen (yes, the same Vroomen who co-founded Cervelo). They set out to build the best gravel bike, then they made everything simpler. The company made a decision early to stay small on purpose, which is unusual in modern cycling and very much the point.

The U.P. (Unbeaten Path) line is still the reference frame for performance gravel, a decade after its debut. The WI.DE. goes bigger on tire clearance for the slowest terrain. The MIN.D. is an instant-classic road bike for riders who want OPEN geometry without the gravel clearance. Every frame is about making a real riding difference, not chasing category expansion.

We carry OPEN because their bikes match how riders in LA actually ride. Road in the morning, dirt in the afternoon, camping on the weekend. One bike, three terrains. Framesets or curated complete builds, your call.
